Vance Publishing, Kansas City, Mo., hires Ron Goble as editor of Grapes and California Nuts, two new publications serving the Western market. Goble is a veteran agricultural reporter/editor who has operated his own public relations company in Visalia Visalia (vəsāl`yə), city (1990 pop. 75,636), seat of Tulare co., S central Calif., in the San Joaquin Valley; founded 1852, inc. 1874. Its economy is centered around agriculture (cotton, grapes, olives) and livestock. Electronic products are among the city's manufactures., Calif., for the past 11 years. Before starting his own business he was an agribusiness writer and managing editor for the Visalia Times-Delta newspaper, and then served as agribusiness editor and columnist for The Fresno Bee.
