Van Pelt Construction Services Appoints New Vice President.

SUISUN CITY, Calif. -- Van Pelt Construction Services announces the promotion of Peter J. Norgaard to vice president of operations. Mr. Norgaard, a senior project manager with the company since 1999, will now act as vice president of the firm.

Mr. Norgaard began his construction career with Lathrop Construction of Benicia, California. During his career there, he acted as project superintendent for several major Bay Area public works projects, including work for the Albany Unified School District, Vallejo City Unified School District and San Francisco International Airport.

After his transition to construction management and owner's representation with Van Pelt Construction Services, Mr. Norgaard became the company's lead contact and senior project manager for the $140 million dollar renovation program in the Vallejo City Unified School District. He was recently named by Van Pelt Construction Services as the lead contact for their West Contra Costa Unified School District projects as well.

Mr. Norgaard has a special understanding of K-12 school construction, having been a high school teacher and basketball coach in the Richmond Unified School District after graduating from Hayward State University.
