Value-added tortilla processor: Urschel J9-A dicer. The Urschel[R] J9-A effectively produces tortilla strips of 1/4" or 3/8", as well as small to large squares for chips, from corn or flour tortilla shells. The belt-fed Model J9-A offers tortilla processors a simple method to reuse imperfect shells with value-added benefits to their existing line. The Model J9-A uniformly dices or strip cuts a wide variety of products. Interchangeable cutting parts in a wide range of sizes provide maximum versatility and flexibility in producing squares, cubes, strips, or rectangular pieces. Here is the J9-A Operating Principle for Tortilla Strips: Product of a predetermined thickness is fed onto a high-speed conveyor that carries the product to the dicing unit. The feed roll, mounted directly over the end of the feed belt, serves to compress products and offers additional feed assistance. The product is cut into strips by circular knives that run in narrow slots in the stationary feed plate. For more information, call 219-464-4811. E-mail: info@urschel.com Website: www.urscheLcom |
