Valpey Fisher Announces VFFT100 Series Frequency Timing Module; Timing Module Provides Low Phase Noise, and High Output Frequency for Telecom and Data Applications.

HOPKINTON, Mass. -- Valpey Fisher Corporation (AMEX:VPF), a world leader in low noise timing solutions today announced its VFFT100 Series Frequency Translator, a low jitter, low phase noise timing solution designed to provide a high stability output. The VFFT100 Series Frequency Translator is capable of providing an output frequency up to 1 GHz and is designed for the telecom and data communications industries, with specific applications in SONET/SDH/ATM, the Ethernet and CATV equipment. The VFFT100 series provides an ideal frequency translation solution because it has an APR of +/- 100 ppm and a phase noise improvement of 15 dBc over a SAW-based frequency translator. The VFFT100 features an internal synthesizer that locks to an input reference clock and multiplies to the desired output frequency. With a power consumption of 220 mW, an output frequency range to 1 GHz, and very low phase noise (-118dBc/Hz@1Khz offset) customers have the opportunity to significantly improve the cost to performance ratio of systems using this series.
