Lockheed Corporation (originally Loughead Aircraft Manufacturing Company) was an American aerospace company originally founded in 1912
 Federal Credit Union ranked No. 1 with $2.1 billion in assets as of March 31, 2005, up nearly 13 percent from last year's $1.8 billion in assets.

Second place this year went to First Bank of Beverly Hills Beverly Hills, city (1990 pop. 31,971), Los Angeles co., S Calif., completely surrounded by the city of Los Angeles; inc. 1914. The largely residential city is home to many motion-picture and television personalities.  F.S.B., a Calabasas-based bank with assets of $1.3 billion.

Premier America America [for Amerigo Vespucci], the lands of the Western Hemisphere—North America, Central (or Middle) America, and South America. The world map published in 1507 by Martin Waldseemüller is the first known cartographic use of the name.  Credit Union placed in the No. 3 spot with slightly more than $1 billion in assets.

First Private Bank & Trust, which recently changed its name from First State Bank of California The Bank of California was founded in San Francisco, California on July 5, 1864 by William Chapman Ralston. It was the first commercial bank in the Western United States, the second-richest bank in the nation, and considered instrumental in developing the American Old West. , ranked No. 5 on this year's list, moving up thanks in part to its acquisition last year of Encino State Bank.

The bank's assets grew to $440 million, up from $216 million in 2003.

THE PACESETTER

LOCKHEED FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

LOCKHEED Federal Credit Union placed No. 1 on the Business Journal s list with nearly $2.1 billion in assets as of March 31, 2005. The credit union's assets grew by nearly 13 percent compared to last year, when it recorded assets of $1.8 billion.

Burbank-based Lockheed Federal Credit Union serves the employees of more than 600 companies, mainly in the aerospace, technology, and insurance and professional fields. The credit union provides a full array of services including savings, checking, and money market accounts; IRAs and CDs. Lending services include personal loans, residential mortgages, commercial real estate loans; and credit card services The software support for PC Cards. PC Card applications talk to Card Services. See PC Card. . Investment products include mutual funds, bonds, and annuities. The credit union also offers a variety of life, health, auto, and homeowners insurance products.

Lockheed Federal Credit Union, originally founded in 1937, currently has 10 branches throughout southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  and 37 ATM machines (Automatic Teller Machine machine) A banking terminal that accepts deposits and dispenses cash.
