The top three on this year's list of largest meeting facilities include: Hilton Burbank Burbank, city (1990 pop. 93,643), Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1911. Tourism and the entertainment industry are central to its economy; several motion-picture studios and television headquarters are here. Burbank's aerospace industry collapsed with the end of the Cold War. Airport & Convention Center, which maintained the No. 1 spot with 50,000 total square feet of meeting facility space; CSUN at No. 2 with 41,702 total square feet of meeting facility space; and Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City Hotel came into the No. 3 spot with 30,000 total square feet of meeting space.
