Valley Presbyterian gets funds for projects.


Valley Presbyterian Hospital Presbyterian Hospital can refer to several places:

  • Presbyterian Hospital (Albuquerque), a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico
 announced that it will refurbish its Emergency Department and Children's Center with half a million dollars in grants from the Ahmanson Foundation and the Ralph M. Parsons Foundations.

The Ahmanson Foundation donated $250,000 to Valley Presbyterian for emergency services emergency services Emergency care '…services …necessary to prevent death or serious impairment of health and, because of the danger to life or health, require the use of the most accessible hospital available and equipped to furnish those services'  refurbishment and new equipment. The hospital has seen an increase in its emergency room patients since last year's closure of nearby Northridge Hospital Medical Center's Sherman Way Campus.

The $250,000 grant from the Ralph M. Parsons Foundation was awarded to help the hospital purchase new furnishings and equipment for Valley Presbyterian's Children's Center. The center supports a 32-bed neonatal intensive care unit Noun 1. neonatal intensive care unit - an intensive care unit designed with special equipment to care for premature or seriously ill newborn
