Valent BioSciences, Libertyville, Ill., enters into a research agreement with the National Research Council of Canada's Plant Biotechnology Institute The Biotechnology Institute is an independent nonprofit organization founded to teach the public about the benefits of biotechnology. It was created in 1998 by the biotechnology industry and is located in Arlington, Virginia.  (NRC-PBI), Saskatoon Saskatoon (săskətn`), city (1991 pop. 186,058), S central Sask., Canada, on the South Saskatchewan River. , Saskatchewan. Under the agreement, the two groups will cooperate to investigate agricultural applications of synthetic analogs of abscisic acid (ABA).
