Valeant Pharmaceuticals Signs Courteney Cox as Kinerase(R) Spokesperson.

COSTA MESA, Calif. -- Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (NYSE:VRX) today announced the signing of actress Courteney Cox to a one-year contract extension to serve as the exclusive spokesperson for the company's Kinerase brand in the United States and Europe. Terms of the agreement with Cox were not disclosed but the actress will be promoting the brand, and also will be participating in the development of Kinerase line product extensions.

"She has been a wonderful addition to the team and we look forward to her involvement as we continue to grow the Kinerase line of products."

Kinerase was spotlighted recently on the television show, EXTRA!, as they joined Cox from the set of the Kinerase photo shoot. An advertising campaign will be launched in April, featuring Cox and Kinerase in publications such as "InStyle." She also has agreed to a limited number of personal appearances.

"I love the Kinerase product and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Valeant team, which is why I agreed to a new contract to serve as the Kinerase spokesperson," said Cox. "I've been approached by more than a hundred skin care and cosmetics brands to promote their products. I never even considered promoting any product until I discovered Kinerase. It simply works."

Recently, Valeant Pharmaceuticals introduced three new products, Kinerase(R) Hydrating Antioxidant Mist, Under Eye Rescue and Lip Treatment, to the Kinerase family of skin care products. Other Kinerase products include Kinerase Cream, Kinerase C6 Peptide Intensive Treatment, Kinerase Gentle Daily Cleanser, Kinerase Lotion, Kinerase Cream with SPF 15, and Kinerase Intensive Eye Cream.

Kinerase is the fastest-growing brand in the professional skin care category, according to the Kline Report on Professional Skin Care Products, published in February 2006.
