Vacuum mixer dryer with conical floor. As a specialist supplier of mixers and dryers for dry, wet and paste-like goods, amixon manufactures vacuum mixer dryers, reactors and vertical twin- and single-shaft mixers. Because of its all-over mixing movement, the machine is capable of achieving extremely short drying times, evaporating any liquid from the mixture in a very short period of time. Now, amixon offers a new generation of vacuum mixer dryers: the AMT series. Machines in the AMT series differ from previous models because of their conical floor, which allows complete and automatic self-emptying to be achieved with free-flowing material. A further benefit is that because of a patented, helical-ribbon mixing tool, even mixing is also achieved in the cone. A three-dimensional movement of the mixture is achieved as it moves upwards at the periphery and then downwards again in the centre. The mixer, the helical ribbon, the mixing arms and the mixing shaft are all heated, so that drying is extremely fast, gentle and even. The tank is vacuum- and pressure proof, which means that pressure-dependent reactions can also be managed. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] The AMT mixer dryer reactor is suitable for drying powders, suspensions, pastes and doughs. Cutting rotors can accelerate the mixing and drying process and, at the same time, perform deagglomeration. As a further option, the tanks can be fitted with a heated inspection door that creates dead space. As the patented mixing tool is only fixed and driven at the top, it is not necessary to extend the shaft right through the product. Machines in the AMT series were developed to fulfil high-level hygiene requirements; they can be used as sterile equipment/reactors and comply FDA regulations, EHEDG requirements and 3a sanitary standards. Available in 23 (100-40,000 L), each vacuum mixer dryer and reactor is customized according to customer requirements and process parameters (www.amixon.de).
