RICHMOND, Va. -- The Virginia Biotechnology Association The Virginia Biotechnology Association (VaBIO) is the statewide trade group that promotes the scientific and economic impact of the biotechnology industry in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  (VaBIO), the state-wide trade organization for the bioscience industry, is hosting Northern Virginia's bioscience elite at "Biotech bi·o·tech

 After Hours Adv. 1. after hours - not during regular hours; "he often worked after hours" ", a networking reception, on September 20, 2007 at the Tower Club in Tyson's Corner, VA. Members of local bioscience companies and supportive industries will attend to strengthen their relationships and discuss the advancement of life sciences throughout the region.

Biotech After Hours will take place from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and is $20 per member and $30 per non-member of VaBIO. Registration is preferred in advance, but walk-ins are accepted at an increased rate of $25 per member and $35 per non-member.

Biotech After Hours is being sponsored by Appian Realty Advisors LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  in addition to: Cooley Godward Kronish Cooley Godward Kronish LLP ("Cooley") is a law firm that represents entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and emerging growth companies in major technology fields. The 600-attorney firm is headquartered in Silicon Valley's Palo Alto with offices in other major technology hubs around  LLP, WilmerHale LLP, William Gallagher William James Gallagher (May 13, 1875 – August 13, 1946) was a Representative to the U.S. Congress from Minnesota; born in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota; attended the public schools, and was graduated from North High School in 1894; engaged as an editorial employee  Associates, Latimer, Mayberry & Matthews IP Law LLP and the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association.

VaBIO was formed in 1992 and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a non-profit association to promote the biotechnology industry in Virginia, expand the knowledge and expertise of Virginia's businesses concerning biotechnology through seminars, educational publications and other means, to enhance public awareness of the biotechnology industry in Virginia and the scientific, economic and other benefits it provides, and to represent the interests of the biotechnology industry in Virginia before federal, state and local legislators and regulators.

VaBIO provides a forum for members and their guests to get to know each other and the many bioscience companies operating today in Virginia and serving our biotech community. VaBIO coordinates information among the many agencies and organizations interested in biotechnology.
