VXI Corporation Buys Assets of Voice It Worldwide, Inc, Developers of the Voice It Line of Digital, Hand-held Recorder Players.

VXI (VME EXtensions for Instrumentation) A peripheral bus specialized for data acquisition and real time control systems. Introduced in 1987, VXI uses all Eurocard form factors and adds trigger lines, a local bus and other functions suited for measurement applications.  Corporation, today announced the acquisition of the assets of Voice It Worldwide, San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. Voice It Worldwide is the developer and marketer of Voice It(R) recorders, a line of digital, hand-held voice recorders and software programs that use new voice technologies to simplify communications. VXI Corporation is a leading manufacturer of precision headset Headphones combined with a microphone. Used in call centers and by people in telephone-intensive jobs, headsets provide the equivalent functionality of a telephone handset with hands-free operation. Many people use headsets at the computer so they can converse and type comfortably.  systems and electronics for telephone, voice-over-the-internet and speech based computer applications.

Voice It Worldwide was the first company in the U.S. to introduce a portable digital recorder See DVR and CD-R.  into the retail market. The firm will now become the Recorder Division of VXI Corporation. Product sales will be conducted from San Diego, while order fulfillment Order fulfillment (in BE also: order fulfilment) is in the most general sense the complete process from point of sales inquiry to delivery of a product to the customer.
