VVA completes fast-track build-out for boutique firm.

Boutique advertising firm, mcgarrybowen, famous for creating Verizon's "Lady Liberty" tribute ad after 9/11, completed the 30,000 s/f build-out of its headquarters in October, with the help of VVA as its Project Manager.

The firm, founded by two former Young & Rubicam executives, chose the Landmark Starrett Lehigh building on West 26th Street between 10th and 11thj avenues, because of its large contiguous floorplates, wide-open views of the Hudson River and Midtown skyline and plethora of new-media and creative tenants in the building.

mcgarrybowen hired VVA, LLC as its Project Manager to ensure that they could stay within their tight schedule, needed because they had to move their employees out of their current offices and into new offices at Starett Lehigh in a very short period of time. "We were hired to manage the build-out of mcgarry's space, which was completed in less than three months from start to finish," explained Ray Arnold, Senior Associate at VVA and Project Manager of the project.

"The initial build-out was followed by the design and value-engineering of additional pockets of space that laid the finishing touches and helped mcgarrybowen accomplish their desired look for the space."

Some of the features of the space are a raised glass conference room with flat screen TV, a wrap around terrace, entertainment space with a bar and pantry and wood and metal panel motifs.
