VOTERS OUST THIRD BUSD INCUMBENT.

BURBANK - Voters ousted a third member of the Burbank school board Tuesday night, unseating board President Mike McDonald Mike McDonald (born June 22, 1958 in North Hollywood, California) is a former professional American football player who played long snapper for nine seasons in the NFL.  - the only one of three incumbents to have made it into the runoff.

Board newcomers Ted Bunch and Paul Krekorian Paul Krekorian was elected in 2006 to serve California's 43rd Assembly District, which includes the cities of Glendale and Burbank and the Los Feliz, Silver Lake, North Hollywood, Valley Glen, Toluca Lake, Atwater Village and Valley Village communities of Los Angeles.  now join retired teacher Jack Kemp The neutrality and factual accuracy of this article are disputed.

``There are a lot of problems that we're facing in the school district, and it's important that we have an honest review of everything,'' Bunch said after learning he bested fellow challenger Larry Applebaum by 455 votes for one of two seats.

Krekorian finished with 30.7 percent of the votes and Bunch with 28.7 percent. Applebaum received 25.8 percent, while McDonald trailed the field with 14.8 percent of votes.

``I'm excited to start working tomorrow on the problems that face the school board. We really need to start working diligently to address the budget crisis,'' Krekorian said.

McDonald was on a fishing trip Tuesday and could not be reached for comment.

The three newcomers won four-year terms and will join Connie Lackey and Trish Burnett on the board at a May 15 meeting. Lackey and Burnett have two more years before facing election.

Two of the newcomers - Kemp and Krekorian - were part of a slate of candidates backed by the Burbank Teachers Association, which donated time and money to the contests.

``It's time It's Time was a successful political campaign run by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) under Gough Whitlam at the 1972 election in Australia. Campaigning on the perceived need for change after 23 years of conservative (Liberal Party of Australia) government, Labor put forward a  to launch into a new era,'' said Kemp, who had the association's endorsement in the February race. ``We can't dwell on what's happened, we need to move forward and right the ship.''
