VOTE VICTORS LOOK FORWARD THREE WINNERS IN LANCASTER PLAN TO FOLLOW-THROUGH ON GOALS.

LANCASTER - With campaigning behind them, the municipal election winners say they are turning their attention on working on the issues they discussed in their campaigns, including water recycling and job creation.

, elected to a fourth term Tuesday as the city's mayor, said water recycling is among the major issues he wants to push during his new term.

Ed Sileo, who won the race to fill a seat being vacated by Councilwoman Michelle Idleman, said his first task will be to make the transition from planning commissioner to councilman.

``I want to meet with staff and see what's in the pipeline,'' Sileo said.

Sileo said one of the first things First Things is a monthly ecumenical journal concerned with the creation of a "religiously informed public philosophy for the ordering of society" (First Things website).  he wants to tackle is stepping up the marketing of the city for job creation. During his campaign, Sileo said the city needs to focus on recruiting companies within California that are looking to expand or relocate, with a focus on skilled jobs.

Henry Hearns, who won a fourth term on the council, said there were several ongoing projects he wanted to see completed, including the continued development of the Fox Field Corridor as a center of commercial and industrial businesses and the recently started effort to revitalize re·vi·tal·ize

``I'm extremely happy. For the past two or three forums, I got my issues heard,'' Booth said. ``That's a way of winning without winning.''

Roberts, Hearns and Sileo will be sworn in at the council's April 23 meeting.
