The Ballet Folklorico performs the traditional dances of Mexico, and Padilla's troupe at Horace Mann Elementary is well-known in Glendale. There are about 200 kids in the troupe, and they practice 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Fridays from September through June. ``I try to always be there and try to help with everything,'' she said, ``whether it's teaching the kids a step, driving them to a performance, or even just supporting them.''
