A party will be held in March to recognize nominees and organizations that selected them. All nominees will be invited to this reception, along with spouses and the director of each nominating organization. Nominees must give of their free time - apart from their paid careers - and they are judged mainly for the impact of their volunteer service and its extent and duration over the years. Nomination forms and letters have been mailed to clubs and organizations throughout the valley. A committee of past award winners will select the next honorees.
