VOLLEYBALL SQUAD IS BOUNCING BACK WIN WOULD PUT HART IN QUARTERFINALS.Byline: IVAN OROZCO Staff Writer Mary Krisan didn't know what to expect. Krisan took over as coach of a Hart girls' volleyball team that a year ago was coming off a fourth-place Foothill League finish. That same team was dominated by archrivals Valencia and Saugus, the heavy favorites to compete for the league title this season. But Krisan knew she had seven returning players, all seniors who experienced being shut out by the Saugus Centurions in two matches and lost six of seven games against the Vikings their junior season. That group of seniors, led by its co-captains, opposite Caitlyn Ramirez and outside hitter Gazelle gazelle, name for the many species of delicate, graceful antelopes of the genus Gazella, inhabiting arid, open country. Most gazelles are found only in Africa, but several species range over N Africa and SW Asia; the Persian, or goitered, gazelle ( D'Artois, had enough reason to want a change and gain respect. Add the hitting of Lindsay Indermill and the setting of junior Jamie Long, and the Indians have done more than gain respect. Hart shares the league title with Valencia after splitting the season series with the Vikings and the Centurions. But it doesn't end there. Krisan's team has raised eyebrows by advancing to the second round of the Southern Section Div.
