VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: CAMARILLO WINS IN A SWEEP.

Eric Vance, Cory Hanson, Steve Reichman, Wes Fisher, Jacob Blickenstaff and Rick Alcantar made their final home game a memorable one Tuesday night.

The six Camarillo High seniors were all on the court at the same time when Blickenstaff served an ace to clinch Clinch, river, c.300 mi (480 km) long, formed by the junction of two forks in SW Va., and flowing generally SW across E Tenn. to the Tennessee River at Kingston.  a 25-14, 25-12, 25-18 victory over visiting Beverly Hills Beverly Hills, city (1990 pop. 31,971), Los Angeles co., S Calif., completely surrounded by the city of Los Angeles; inc. 1914. The largely residential city is home to many motion-picture and television personalities.  in a Southern Section Div. III game.

``I looked down at the bench and told all of them to be ready,'' Camarillo coach Rob Vandermay said. ``They jumped up, ran out there and finished up strong in their last game in the Scorpion scorpion, any arachnid of the order Scorpionida with a hollow poisonous stinger at the tip of the tail. Scorpions vary from about 1/2 in. to about 6 in. (1–15 cm) long; most are from 1 to 3 in. (2.5–7.6 cm) long.  Dome. It was a great celebratory moment.''

Third-seeded Camarillo (13-5) advances to Friday's quarterfinals against fifth-seeded Downey at 7 p.m. If the Scorpions advance to the semifinals, the game will be at a neutral site.

Vance was the difference Tuesday, finishing with 17 kills.

``He's hit over every block this year. I haven't seen a team able to stop him,'' Vandermay said of the 6-foot-4 Vance, who's heading to Cal State Northridge. ``He's a pure athlete. He has great range and leaping ability.

``He's the best player I've seen here at Camarillo and Ventura County for that matter.''

Hanson, a converted middle blocker, had 30 assists and five kills and Fisher added five kills and five blocks.

Div. I

--Loyola d. Moorpark 3-0: Moorpark (14-4) was no match for fourth-seeded Loyola of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  (19-2) in a 25-17, 25-21, 25-17 loss on the road.

--Valencia d. Crescenta Valley The Crescenta Valley is a small inland valley in Los Angeles County, California. Its name derives from its crescent-like shape, with the convex portion facing roughly northeast and the concave portion southwest.  3-0: In a matchup of league champions, Valencia, from the Foothill, prevailed over the Pacific's Crescenta Valley of La Crescenta 25-17, 25-17, 25-12 at home.

Senior outside hitter Tony Ker had 19 kills for Valencia (14-1). Teammates Davey Rouley and Brian Skinner Brian Skinner (born May 19 1976 in Temple, Texas) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Phoenix Suns of the NBA. --Oxnard d. West Torrance 3-0: Tom Bossoletti had 32 assists for visiting and second-seeded Oxnard (19-3) in a 25-8, 25-16, 25-9 victory against overmatched West Torrance (11-19).

David Cervantes, Jon Mason and Charles Keeranan each had 11 kills for Oxnard.

Div. IV

--Village Christian d. Norco 3-0: Host Norco had a difficult time stopping Daniel Greenhaw, who finished with 16 kills in a 25-14, 25-22, 25-20 second-round victory for Village Christian of Sun Valley.

L.B. Blocker had 14 kills and Andy Levoe had 35 assists for the Crusaders (13-3), the defending section champions who advance to Friday's quarterfinals.

Div. V

--Sage Hill d. Viewpoint 3-2: Mike Larner had 28 kills but his efforts weren't enough for visiting Viewpoint of Calabasas (16-6) in a 25-23, 18-25, 17-25, 25-21, 15-13 first-round loss to Sage Hill of Newport Beach Newport Beach, residential and resort city (1990 pop. 66,643), Orange co., S Calif., on Newport Bay and the Pacific Ocean; inc. 1906. It is a popular seaside resort and yachting center. Manufactures include electrical and medical equipment, computers, boats, and adhesives.  (17-1).

Teammate Omar Abuzaineh had 34 kills.
