The school opened in 1998 offering medical assistant classes, then added medical billing, massage therapy Massage Therapy Definition

Classes for the 14-month program meet 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Clinical hours are 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 2 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

``We would like to start a part-time program also to accommodate people who can only come in the evening,'' said Laurie Oatis, director of nursing. ``There is a dire need for nurses here.''

The school is the second licensed vocational nursing school to graduate any vocational nursing students in the Antelope Valley. The institute is located at 43770 15th St. W., Lancaster.
