VISUAL Jobshop Simplifies Invoicing and Billing for Customers through QuickBooks 2002 Integration.

Business/Technology Editors

HAMPTON, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 2002

Lilly Software Associates announces that a Premium edition of VISUAL Jobshop(R) is now available that offers improved data integration with QuickBooks(R) Pro 2002 and QuickBooks(R) Premier 2002 small business financial software.

To address accounting needs, VISUAL Jobshop has always had the ability to import and export data with QuickBooks, allowing customers to handle miscellaneous business expenses, clear invoices, manage payroll, pay bills, and produce financial statements. As a member of the Intuit Developer Network, Lilly Software has enhanced its latest VISUAL Jobshop release, version 2.8, using the QuickBooks Software Development Kit (SDK (Software Developer's Kit) See developer's toolkit and Windows SDK.

SDK - Software Developers Kit (or "Software Development Kit").
). Working with the SDK, the company has enabled Jobshop to automatically update and validate information from QuickBooks, including customer, supplier, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory transaction data. This also allows users to maintain data integrity between the applications.

"The level of integration between QuickBooks and the new Premium edition of VISUAL Jobshop promotes accurate invoicing and billing for our customers," said Sam Pollard, Manager of Lilly Software's Small Manufacturing Division. "The integration also significantly decreases the chance for errors in customer, supplier, and General Ledger data. In the past, customers that used QuickBooks with Jobshop, or with other third-party solutions, were forced to perform redundant data entry. By being part of the Intuit Developer Network, we've enhanced our software so that companies no longer need to manually synchronize data between the applications. This promotes more consistent information, streamlines tasks, and reduces human errors. "

VISUAL Jobshop(R) is a powerful software solution for the smallest manufacturers, particularly for companies with engineer-to-order and make-to-order production strategies. It provides tools that businesses need to simplify their quoting, order entry, inventory control, production, labor collection, shipping, and invoicing. It is an affordable system that includes do-it-yourself implementation, user-friendly Windows features, and an extensive variety of customizable reports. VISUAL Jobshop is a perfect fit for companies that want to combine the ease-of-use of QuickBooks with effective manufacturing capabilities to successfully manage their shop floor.

"Intuit and Lilly Software both recognize that small business owners juggle many daily tasks and that they are constantly looking for ways to streamline their operations," said Esther Kruijver, director of the Intuit Developer Network. "Enabling the exchange of data between VISUAL Jobshop and the QuickBooks 2002 products will help small businesses save time and manage their resources more efficiently, allowing them to spend more time actually running their business."

VISUAL Jobshop, version 2.8, is available now in Standard and Premium Editions.
