VISTA 2000, INC. SEES RECORD SALES & PROFITS; ORDER BACKLOG HITS NEW HIGHS BASED ON CARBON MONOXIDE & RADON LINES; ADDITIONAL ACQUISITIONS PLANNED.

ROSWELL, GEORGIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JUNE 22, 1995--VISTA 2000, INC. (NASDAQ: VIST, VISTW) disclosed today that its order backlog has hit record highs, driven largely by its new Safety Siren for Carbon Monoxide product line. Among major chains placing orders are national hardware chains and several major grocery chains, both in the US and Canada. It expects its revenues for the remainder of the year to substantially exceed internal forecasts and has additional plans for further acquisitions in the near term.

Our acquisitions have been integrated with our core operations efficiently, providing new leverage in distribution for all of our lines. Our FSPI (Family Safety Products, Inc.) group has begun shipments of the new carbon monoxide and combustible gas alarm product lines, with the new Safety Siren for Radon and SafetyView home security lines on target for volume shipments this summer," stated Mr. Richard Smyth, VISTA's Chairman and CEO. When asked about the Company's expectations for the summer and fall quarters, and its plans for further acquisitions he responded, "We are exceeding all of our internal estimates by a wide margin. VISTA's products are sold through retailers nationwide. "Our largest customers this year will include Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Target stores, plus other national giants including Home Depot, ACE hardware, ServiStar Hardware and a number of large grocery chains. Our order backlog currently indicates that the hardware chains and grocery groups will provide the largest growth for the year," explained Mr. Smyth.
