The co-operative agreement is retroactive to January 1st, 2001 and details a new revenue/profit sharing arrangement based on integrating and expanding Jiabin's Mainland China network as well as the initial stage of establishing a presence in key locations around the world such as Moscow, New York New York, state, United States

Through this new co-operative agreement, along with Jiabin's existing agreements with China Unicom China Unicom, full name China United Telecommunications Corporation, 中国联通, HKSE: 0762 NYSE: CHU, is a telecommunication operator in the People's Republic of China. 52.  and China Telecom, the combined VIPC/Jiabin network is expected to grow from the current call traffic total of 48 million minutes in 2000 to 304 million minutes in 2003. Revenues are expected to increase substantially from the already profitable US$3.6 million last year to a combined revenue of US$52 million for the year ending in 2003.VIPC's objective is to utilize Jiabin's infrastucture and established presence in various locations around the world to keep costs low.

Discussions are currently being held with various parties with respect to financing VIPC's international expansion and the integration and expansion of Jiabin's Mainland China network. These discussions have resulted in the recommendation that VIPC consolidate its common shares on a 2.5 old for one new basis, with the objective that VIPC will qualify for a listing on a recognized stock exchange in the future.

The Board of Directors have endorsed this recommendation and will be presenting this proposal to the company's shareholders at the annual general meeting to be held in June 2001. Additionally, the Directors have held discussions with potential candidates whose expertise in telecommunications will undoubtedly be welcome additions to the Board.
