ROSAMOND - Nearly 100 racers from Canada to Florida - all age 40 and beyond - are driving their vintage open-wheel cars this weekend at the 12th annual Walt James Vintage Race Car Gathering.

The midgets, sprint cars and roadsters are driving the 3/8-mile oval track It has been suggested that and be merged into this article or section.  at Willow Springs Willow Springs may refer to:

James, now 81 and living in Acton, is a member of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame.

Racing will continue from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.

Pit passes are $15. Children ages 8 and under are admitted free.
