VIACK lands $50 million contract with FedSource.

VIACK Corporation, an authority on private online business meetings and communications, has announced it was awarded a contract issued by the Department of the Treasury's Administrative Resource Center on behalf of FedSource. The contract, with a maximum value of $50 million over five years, was awarded for VIACK's VIA3 Secure E-meeting Service and related technologies for distribution throughout the entire federal government.

The selection of VIA3 was based on the extensive security capabilities built into the software, as well as VIACK's ability to be offered as a compelling managed service. The VIA3 software also supports the E-Gov mandates set forth by the present administration for all federal agencies, which are to make it easier for citizens and businesses to interact with the government; save taxpayer dollars; and streamline citizen-to-government transactions.

As part of the Treasury Franchise Fund, FedSource effectively eliminates roadblocks and excessive paperwork traditionally associated with using new vendors. Offering up to $50 million in VIACK software service to federal agencies, FedSource will streamline procurement and cut the fulfillment time of a VIA3 order from what is traditionally a six to eight month process, down to a week. This streamlined process creates a desirable vendor resource for a variety of government agencies.
