VETS INVITED TO SHARE TALE, MAKE HISTORY CONGRESS GATHERS STORIES.Byline: Daily News VALENCIA -- Men and women who have served in the nation's wars are asked to take part in Congress' living history program, sharing their stories for future generations. "This is an important program aimed at keeping the stories of wartime veterans alive," said Bruce Battle, a college spokesman. "I would imagine we would find some fascinating stories from veterans living throughout the Santa Clarita Valley." Congress created the Veterans History Project in 2000, which is aimed at collecting oral history interviews, memoirs, letters, diaries, photographs and other original materials from veterans who served in U.S. wars.
