VERTEX PORTS BRIDGE.NET TO NORAND RT1100 TERMINAL PRODUCT LINE

 CLIFTON, N.J., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Vertex Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: VETX) announced today that it was showing its first Bridge.Net Run Time Module for a Radio Frequency (RF) Hand Held Computer. The Run Time Module being shown at the Scan Tech Exhibition in Philadelphia from Oct. 19 through Oct. 21 is for the Norand RT1100 Series Terminal Product Line.
 The product is being shown communicating simultaneously to a variety of host platforms including: an RS/6000, AS/400, HP9000, Sunpsarc, and PCs running DOS and SCO Unix. Full peer-to-peer messaging and Kermit Client/Server file transfer protocols are supplied directly from the portable.
