WOODLAND HILLS - In a deal that broadens its product line, communications software (communications, software) communications software - Application programs, operating system components, and probably firmware, forming part of a communication system. The terms are 4.5 million restricted shares of Vertel stock, which means there are conditions on when it can be sold.

Trigon is privately held, with about 30 employees and offices in Texas and New Jersey.

It is too early to say what will happen with these operations, said Vertel spokeswoman Lynn Lynn, city (1990 pop. 81,245), Essex co., E Mass.; inc. as a town 1631, as a city 1850. Lynn is an old industrial center. The first ironworks (1643) and the first fire engine (1654) in the country were built there.  Friederichs.

Both companies make communication network management tools.

Vertel's products are used by communication equipment makers like Lucent and Motorola and enable systems based on different software platforms to interact.

Combining the two companies' technologies enables Vertel to give telecom vendors and service providers a comprehensive suite of network management products for any level of development.
