 VERSAR APPOINTS NEW MARKETING EXECUTIVE
 SPRINGFIELD, Va., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Versar, Inc.


(AMEX: VSR), announced today the appointment of Lawrence A. White, P.E., a recognized consultant and manager in the environmental business community, as executive vice president for corporate development. White, based in the Springfield corporate office, will be the focus for all of Versar's federal activities, with special emphasis on the Department of Energy.
 White brings to Versar 24 years of experience in environmental consulting and management of major environmental programs for government and industry. He has extensive experience in marketing to the federal government including the Department of Defense, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. Prior to his employment in private industry, where he held key executive positions, he served with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, now the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), where he gained expertise in nuclear licensing, regulatory policy and strategy. He also worked as principal geotechnical engineer on a variety of water resource management and flood protection projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
 Commenting on the addition of White to Versar's senior management team, Benjamin Rawls, president and CEO, said: "Larry is recognized for his strong marketing and management skills and his specific experience in environmental consulting.
