VENEVISION INTERNATIONAL GOES TO POLAND

CORAL GABLES, Fla., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Venevision International just recently sold "La Mujer Prohibida," a co-production with Telecinco of Spain, to the Poltel group of Poland.
It is estimated that approximately 9,900,000 viewers will see "La Mujer Prohibida," making this one of the largest audience groups watching a Venezuelan (Venevision) novela in a foreign country.
Beginning to air this fall in Poland, "La Mujer Prohibida," a novela that has had huge ratings in Latin America and Spain, is expected to succeed at Poltel due to its inspiring storyline. The novela entails the story of a mute woman, who has to marry one man to save the life of her father in jail; meanwhile, she's in love with her future husband's son. Drama, love and passion should warm the screens in Poland.
"I am very happy with the Poland deal -- two years ago we said our product was good enough for the world marketplace -- so here we are -- all over the map and still going," said Cesar Diaz, vice president of Sales for Venevision International.
Venevision International, the distribution arm for Venevision, the number one network in Venezuela, is a prolific producer of quality programs for the world marketplace.
