SCOTS rockers Glasvegas managed to pull in a huge crowd for their nine o'clock slot on the Other stage.

Frontman James Allan, top, - who had previously played smaller stages on the Glasto site - just hid his excitement at beingsecond-to-last on the bill as the band performed favourites including Go Square Go and Geraldine, to the delight of fans.

Later, Blur's blistering closing set was like a step back in time. After three days of sun, sun and lightning storms, they were the ideal act to seal the momentous festival. And the tens of thousands of fans who have waited for years for this comeback weren't disappointed.

The audience roared as they started a two-hour set with She's So High then a thrilling Girls And Boys.

Earlier, frontman Damon Albarn, above, had watched Madness play an earlyevening set on the famous Pyramid stage.
