CFA Institute developed the CGIPS program to meet the industry's demands for a professional credential for qualified investment performance practitioners. The CGIPS designation will be used by clients and firms alike to measure investment performance expertise around the world. For the individual investment professional, the certification offers career credibility and recognition; and for the firm, certification provides assurance that CGIPS practitioners have the relevant technical and ethical skills to help gain a competitive edge.

"The CGIPS program is a direct response to the investment performance community's growing demand for professional excellence," explained Philip Lawton, CFA, director of the CGIPS program. "Our experience with VCampus and its Select Partner Program has been very positive and we are extremely pleased with the quality and features of the CGIPS Principles course. The course provides a solid foundation in preparation for the CGIPS Principles examination and offers tremendous flexibility for busy professionals seeking the CGIPS designation."
