VASCO Delivers VACMan/LDAP as Add-On to Network Security Server.

New release features industry standard protocol

Targeting the growing demand for a standard solution for secure information storage and access, VASCO Corporation (OTCBB:VASC) today announced delivery of VACMan/LDAP, an add-on component to the company's VACMan/Server. VACMan/Server, a security server that manages computer access, enables remote access dialup to a network. Enhancing VACMan/Server's remote access capabilities, VACMan/LDAP allows dialup users access to a network's common directory regardless of architecture.

The latest addition to the VACMan (VASCO Access Control Manager) product line embraces LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), a standard industry format for storing and sharing contact information in a directory. Triple Security Sentinel: Authentication, Authorization and Accounting

VACMan/LDAP provides a connection to VACMan/Server, enabling it to locate information needed to authenticate a user from any location in the world. Authentication is the key, initial step in providing a complete security solution. VACMan/Server, powered by Shiva Corporation's (NASD: SHVA) advanced remote access protocol engine, provides support for other industry standards like RADIUS, TACACS, XTACACS, AND TACACS+, and adds authorization and accounting capabilities to the security solution.

LDAP Acceptance

Earlier this week, Netscape Communications Corporation (NASD: NSCP) named VASCO as one of the more than 40 companies supporting acceptance of a core set of open standards, including the LDAP standard, for ensuring interoperability between Extranets.
