VALLEY FAIR SET FOR 4-DAY RUN.
The 59th annual San Fernando Valley Fair will open today for a four-day run of fun, food and entertainment at the Hansen Dam Sports Center.
Featuring carnival rides, a petting zoo, rock climbing, face painting, circus shows, bungee jumping and more, this year's festival also will include the Tigers of India Spectacular Show - the only tiger display of its kind that includes a rare snow-white tiger.
Traditional livestock, horticulture and crafts exhibits will also be offered to shed light on the Valley's economic, educational and cultural riches. Musical artists Gary Lewis and the Playboys are scheduled to perform 1960s hits.
Fair hours are: today, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday, 4 p.m. to midnight; Saturday, noon to midnight; and Sunday, noon to 10 p.m.
The Hansen Dam Sports Center is at 11400 Foothill Blvd. in Lake View Terrace.
