VALLEY'S LARGEST JOB FAIR COMING TO TOWN.

LANCASTER - The Antelope Valley's largest job fair will bring together job seekers and more than 60 employers.

Antelope Valley College's 11th semiannual Career Information and Job Fair is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in the Student Center at the college, 3041 W. Ave. K, adjacent to parking lot 5.

The college's Job Placement Center is sponsoring the event, along with Brunswick Sands Bowl, Captain Tony's Pizza, William Edward's Photography, Vince's Pasta and Pizza, Sizzler, Agua Dulce Hardware and the Army.

Last fall's job fair attracted an estimated 1,500 job seekers and more than 80 employers.

Employers represent a diverse range of professions including law enforcement, child care, clerical, customer service, education, health care, aerospace, the military and others.

Among the employers slated to attend are Lockheed Martin, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Scaled Composites, 2 GeeksInaBox, TechExcel Career Schools, Crunch Time Consultant Services, Creative Outdoor Advertising, World Financial Group and The Talent Professor.

Other participants include Future Transitions, Antelope Valley Schools Transportation Agency, Waggoner's Trucking, the Los Angeles Fire Department The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), also known as the Los Angeles City Fire Department to distinguish it from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
