VA medical care deserves praise.

* I am a proud life member, and I would like to say something about VA hospitals. Some may not be good. But the Mt. Vernon, Missouri VA hospital is wonderful. They are very nice and very helpful. I don't think I would be alive if not for the care I have received there. I have been to other VA hospitals, but none as concerned as Mt. Vernon. Teddy R. * I have been receiving VA medical care since March 1970. In this time, I have run into only one individual who did not treat me with courtesy. I suspect he had cold coffee and toast for breakfast that day. Considering their medical case load, I must admire the fact they deliver quality medical care despite having to put up with a lot of "hard case" patients. As to the quality of medical care provided me, it has always been outstandingly high. In my opinion, the VA is often given a bad rap in the news media, and by some in it who ought to know better.
