The V-SPAN C.A.R.E.S Committee (Community Assistance Requires Employee Service) recommends, develops and executes an annual corporate contributions program and strategy for V-SPAN. The committee's responsibilities include the promotion of employee involvement and the recommendation of charitable organizations that would greatly benefit from V-SPAN's contributions.

Flyer's Wives Fight for Lives

V-SPAN has given support for Flyer's Wives Fight for Lives for over two years. Through funding programs, Flyer's Wives Fight for Lives has become a strong charity in the fields of blood disease and cancer research, patient care and treatment at the Barry Ashbee William Barry Ashbee (July 28, 1939 in Weston, Ontario – May 12, 1977) was a professional ice hockey defenceman who played five seasons in the National Hockey League.  Research Laboratories at Hahnemann University. Over $13 million has been raised in the past 24 years for the charity.

ALS Association

V-SPAN took part in the 7th Annual Curt Schilling ALS Als (äls), Ger. Alsen, island, 121 sq mi (313 sq km), Sønderjylland co., S Denmark, in the Lille Bælt, separated from the mainland by the narrow Alensund.  Golf Outing on October 30th and contributed over $7,500 to the cause. AIDSWalkPhilly

V-SPAN took part in the 14th Annual Philadelphia AIDS Walk on October 15th. This is V-SPAN's second year in participating in the 12-kilometer walking event. The V-SPAN team raised over $1,200 in contributions for the walk.

This year's AIDS Walk attracted more than 30,000 local Philadelphians to support the crusade for a cure. The Walk began at the Philadelphia Art Museum and continued along Kelly Drive.
