competition on the theme "Utopia: children imagine and paint their future". Some children wrote text, others created artwork--anything that could be scanned into a poster was permitted. Come explore Utopias from around the world!

Living in Harmony "Living in Harmony" is an episode of the 1967-68 television series The Prisoner. It differs from most other episodes of the series in that it does not begin with the show's standard opening credits sequence. : The Key to My Utopia!

Lying in bed at night, I often dream of a place where everything would be perfect. Perhaps just a fictional paradise, or maybe even a reality--a Utopia. We must learn to live in harmony, not just with fellow humans, but also with all the inhabitants

of the jungles and forest: the animals and plants ... I am talking about the animals that we test medicines on, whose fur we make coats out of and those that we hunt for our pleasure. I speak for the trees that provide us oxygen to breathe and purify the air that we need. All animals in the food chain depend on trees for shelter and food. But we chop them down to make fancy furniture and wasteful packaging.

is fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are the most widely used source of energy, but they are running out ... This insecurity is driving countries into wars for oil, thereby disrupting global peace ... Unless alternate sources of energy are found, the wars will grow even worse as the oil reserves Oil reserves refer to portions of oil in place that are claimed to be recoverable under economic constraints.

Oil in the ground is not a "reserve" unless it is claimed to be economically recoverable, since as the oil is extracted, the cost of recovery increases incrementally
decrease. These alternate sources of energy will have to be 'clean' fuels.

Excessive use of fossil fuels is harmful to the environment because when burnt, they release carbon dioxide carbon dioxide, chemical compound, CO2, a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that is about one and one-half times as dense as air under ordinary conditions of temperature and pressure.  into the atmosphere. The carbon dioxide gas released by these fuels warms up the atmosphere. A phenomenon known as the Greenhouse Effect greenhouse effect: see global warming.

We have to find new sources of energy to prevent all the fights between countries and to protect the environment. Renewable energy Renewable energy utilizes natural resources such as sunlight, wind, tides and geothermal heat, which are naturally replenished. Renewable energy technologies range from solar power, wind power, and hydroelectricity to biomass and biofuels for transportation.  from the sun and the oceans are the key to my Utopia. Learning to live in harmony amongst ourselves and with our environment is what we require. Only that can lead us into Utopia!

In doing so we should remember that our resources for such a creation are the world's natural resources. In the 21st century science and technology has made the world so small. With advanced telecommunication, we can communicate with one another easily, no matter where we are. Air travel has united many countries across the globe. Internet access See how to access the Internet.  has made humans interact with one another more often.

Despite globalization globalization

Process by which the experience of everyday life, marked by the diffusion of commodities and ideas, is becoming standardized around the world. Factors that have contributed to globalization include increasingly sophisticated communications and transportation
and modernization, people in many countries fear terrorism and bombings. Iraqis live in sadness and misery. In large cities, folks live in fear and are terrorized psychologically. The world has so much unrest.

Therefore, I hope my art piece will help the world realise the importance of world peace. I would like to plea the world for unity and to care and share among one another. Let us children have our rights of protection therefore child abuse will not exist in the future. Let our voices echo to all children of the world to express themselves through art. Art allows us to be creative, gives us inner peace and above all, helps us develop patience. These are the virtues of peace on earth.

BLACK UTOPIA

This is my poster. This is not my imaginative, dreamed future.

That is one "utopia" which Lenin realized. But to realize this "utopia" and keep it for 70 years there had been great many victims. Many bright ideas were destroyed, and from the "Red utopia", the "Black" reality was born.. I don't want to realize the same kind of "utopia" any more.

Strange trend Culture is a symbol of our recognition. Seeing the trend adopted by today's generation, I think that in the future people will create unique fashions. So I have shown the black and white portion to show our generation which will be considered as the past in the future generation. In future generation the clock of time would be running so fast that we will become out-dated.

Bridge through the universe I am worried that we people will destroy our world through environmental pollution, nuclear power plants and war and will have to find a new living space. My vision is for us to find a source of energy which enables us to rush through the universe at the speed of light. The universe will be habitable habitable adj. referring to a residence that is safe and can be occupied in reasonable comfort. Although standards vary by region, the premises should be closed in against the weather, provide running water, access to decent toilets and bathing facilities, heating, .

I hope that we humans are clever enough to protect and save our world from ourselves so that the bridge through the universe would not be a necessity but rather a nice stroll.

Spring forward 3000 years. Time to twist jacks and to think of posterity POSTERITY, descents. All the descendants of a person in a direct line. . It seems to me that our future is triumph and full victory of mechanisms and technologies over wild nature and man. As a result of technogenous transformations at our planet it won't be even a bit of land for animals and birds to make a nest and breed posterity. And to my mind it will be a great loss for mankind.
