Utah boy keeps cool head during fire.


Nine-year-old Jeremiah Calder was near the outside door to his family's vintage mobile home in Magna, Utah Magna is a census-designated place (CDP) and township in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. , Jeremiah again entered the mobile home to rescue his brother, Braiden, whose hands, face, and ears were on fire. After leading the boy outside, Jeremiah retrieved a jug of water from a nearby camper and poured it over his brother's head.

But Jeremiah's rescue efforts were still not finished. His half-sister, two-year-old Haley Parish, had been lying on a futon not far from the stove when the explosion occurred. Jeremiah went back inside to save her, but the raging fire kept him from reaching Haley. Firefighters later recovered her burned body.
