Utah State University Selects Collegis to Lead Administrative Data Management Implementation.

Utah State's selection of Collegis as third-party implementer for the new software system came after a formal bidding and Request for Proposal (RFP (Request For Proposal) A document that invites a vendor to submit a bid for hardware, software and/or services. The SCT Banner system will provide all day, every day access to university administrative operations via the World Wide Web. The fully integrated platform will consist of four main parts - administrative finance, a student system, financial aid system and human resource system - that will place key university operations on one common system. This should provide greater efficiencies, less redundancy and confusion among software products and networks, which should allow for better communication and consistently excellent information services See Information Systems.  for students, faculty and staff at Utah State.

"The value (of SCT Banner) will be measured in more timely information, increased convenience and consistent access (24x7) and, most importantly, more accuracy," said Fred Hunsaker, Utah State's vice president for administrative services.

The implementation process will begin in June with the completion of a business process analysis (BPA BPA British Paediatric Association. ), conducted by Collegis, for each of the four platform modules, starting with finance. The rest of the timeline will be structured to coincide with critical university dates and deadlines. For example, Banner Finance will be implemented by the end of the university's fiscal year.
