Utah State University Selects Collegis to Lead Administrative Data Management Implementation.

Utah State University, one of the nation's premier student-centered, land-and-space-grant research universities, has chosen Collegis as a technology partner to help implement their new administrative data management system.

Collegis, the leading provider of technology-related services to higher education, will help lead the implementation project of the multi-year migration to SCT Banner, the university's choice for an administrative data management software platform.

Utah State's selection of Collegis as third-party implementer for the new software system came after a formal bidding and Request for Proposal (RFP) process mandated of public higher education institutions such as Utah State. The agreement with Collegis invests approximately $3 million over three years for comprehensive technology implementation services and assistance with the management of the new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

The SCT Banner system will provide all day, every day access to university administrative operations via the World Wide Web. The fully integrated platform will consist of four main parts - administrative finance, a student system, financial aid system and human resource system - that will place key university operations on one common system. This should provide greater efficiencies, less redundancy and confusion among software products and networks, which should allow for better communication and consistently excellent information services for students, faculty and staff at Utah State.

The implementation process will begin in June with the completion of a business process analysis (BPA), conducted by Collegis, for each of the four platform modules, starting with finance. The rest of the timeline will be structured to coincide with critical university dates and deadlines. For example, Banner Finance will be implemented by the end of the university's fiscal year.
