Useful & inspiring. (Letters).

BLACK ENTERPRISE SEEMS MORE LIKE A friend than a publication to me. You see, my first exposure to BE was in the early '70s, when I was just a teen. I am very grateful for the positive and enlightening stories and messages, you've produced over the years. Believe me when I say that yours is the only magazine that I'm compelled to read virtually from cover to cover.

I tend to compare good reading to a great meal. In the case of BE, I get a strong urge to lick the plate afterward. Thank you so much. Yours is a strong, powerful beacon of light and information. I pray that you continue to lead more of us out of the negative fog, and into the positive light of hope and success.

I HAVE BEEN A SUBSRIBER TO BE FOR QUITE a few years now and I always look forward to reading it. However, I have to say that the February 2003 issue was very timely for me personally and contained information I can use now. My job was recently eliminated at a company I've spent the last 21 years with, so the information in this issue really hit home and has helped me in planning a strategy for my job search.

Aside from being informational, this issue was truly inspirational as well. The articles about people who dared to live their dreams was so encouraging for me, especially the article on Carla Harris ("Winning on Wall Street"). I, too, have a passion for singing and have had the desire to record a solo gospel music CD, but I keep putting it off. Being out of work has given me the opportunity to reflect and set new goals; recording a CD is on my list.

Thank you so much for continuing to publish this magazine for all people to benefit from. I am a BE subscriber for life.
