Urstadt Biddle CEO new U.S. swim champ.


Charles J. Urstadt, chairman and chief executive officer of the Fairfield county-based Urstadt Biddle Properties, smashed a national record for the 50-meter breast stroke at the U.S. Masters Long Course National Swimming Championships at Rutgers University Rutgers University, main campus at New Brunswick, N.J.; land-grant and state supported; coeducational except for Douglass College; chartered 1766 as Queen's College, opened 1771. Urstadt, who was one of 817 swimmers from 50 states and 10 foreign countries competing on August 4 th through August 17 th, turned 75 this year. Whittling Whittling is the art of carving shapes out of raw wood with a knife.

Whittling is typically performed with a light, small-bladed knife, usually a pocket knife. Specialised whittling knives are available as well.
 almost a full tick of the clock off the previous 75-79 age bracket record of 42.64 seconds, he eclipsed Barton Greenburg's three-year-old mark with a 41.69 finish.

"I hadn't ever broken a national record before, but it felt very, very smooth," Urstadt commented.

A former two-time All-American swimmer for Dartmouth College, he continues to train for future competitions, such as the June 3-13 world championships in Italy.
