Ur-Energy Receives Permitting Study for Production Planning.

ORLEANS, Ontario -- UR-Energy Inc. ("URE") (TSX:URE) announced today that AATA International Inc., an international environmental consulting firm based in Fort Collins, Colorado has delivered to URE its preliminary report as part of its contract to assist URE in permitting the URE Lost Soldier and Lost Creek projects for production. Roscoe Postle Associates has completed an NI 43-101 report on these two projects in which they state a relevant historic resource of 10 million pounds U3O8 for Lost Soldier and 5.7 million pounds U3O8 for Lost Creek. Both projects have had historic in-situ leach ("ISL") testing completed on them indicating amenability for ISL mining. URE has initiated an aggressive program to permit these projects in an attempt to start production within three years. In July 2005, URE contracted AATA, which has solid experience in fast-tracking permitting, to manage the permitting process. URE has been drilling both Lost Soldier and Lost Creek since September 2005 to upgrade the historic resource to 43-101 standards, and collect current data to assist in production planning and permitting.

This 156 page report entitled, "Environmental and Social Due Diligence Report, Great Divide Basin In-Situ Leaching Uranium Project" is a detailed examination and review of the current status of the Lost Soldier and Lost Creek projects as they will impact the ongoing permitting process. As stated in the report, "This report is organized according to standard environmental impact assessment format and provides a baseline data evaluation and data gap analysis of the principal physical, chemical, biological, and socio-economic/socio-cultural aspects of the project, which must be considered in light of the required environmental permitting, as well as the engineering of the project. AATA collected, reviewed, and analyzed a significant amount of existing published and unpublished information, including project-specific reports, memoranda, maps, geologic cross-sections, drill and geophysical logs provided by Ur-Energy; Internet and library search data, regulatory agency search data, satellite and aerial imagery, etc. Based on the existing baseline information, a data gap analysis was performed to indicate what further work must be engaged to satisfy the project permitting requirements."

This report defines and recommends baseline studies, which have already been initiated, as well as defining a strategy for the permitting process, the various agencies that will be involved and their specific requirements. It also provides specific milestones and timelines for all phases of the permitting process, starting a pilot wellfield operation within twelve to eighteen months for completion of a bankable feasibility study and the initiation of full-scale production within three years. Based on this preliminary study URE recognizes that the permitting process is not a hurdle but a specific process that should be completed on an aggressive schedule through diligent and careful effort by URE and AATA working closely with the various regulatory agencies. Mr. Aronson indicated to Ur-Energy that ISL is widely considered the environmentally preferred alternative for uranium development.
