The Upper Deck technology integration case study was showcased in the Summer 2001 Q&A Magazine of Quest, the J.D. Edwards User Group.

Upper Deck, an on-line sports trading card and vintage collectibles company, was experiencing inefficiencies and time delays in the customer order and delivery process due to the lack of integration between these two systems. The sales orders that came through InterWorld's Commerce Exchange were being manually entered into OneWorld for the back-office fulfillment processing.

Upper Deck turned to Plutus Enterprises to provide the integration services to link the two systems together using both InterWorld's Enterprise Broker(R), which OEMs webMethods Enterprise, and webMethods SQL Server Adapters.

"The integrated solution provides real-time connectivity between InterWorld and OneWorld for sales order processing, customer entry, catalog integration and inventory availability," said David Dang dang
