2002 TAPPI TAPPI Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry  Film Extrusion and Co-extrusion Short Course The 2002 TAPPI Film Extrusion and Co-extrusion Short Course will be held May 20-22, 2002, at the Omni Royal Orleans The Omni Royal Orleans is a 346-room hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. Before being purchased by Omni Hotels, it was called the Royal Orleans. It was constructed in 1960 on the corner of St.  in New Orleans New Orleans (ôr`lēənz –lənz, ôrlēnz`), city (2006 pop. 187,525), coextensive with Orleans parish, SE La., between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain, 107 mi (172 km) by water from the river mouth; founded , Louisiana.

This is an introductory-level course designed to help participants improve and refresh their ability to diagnose film extrusion problems and recommend solutions. Participants will learn how film fabrication fabrication (fab´rikā´shn),

TAPPI Chip Preparation and Quality Short Course

TAPPI Tissue Runnability Short Course

The TAPPI Tissue Runnability Short Course will be held May 21-23, 2002, at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. This unique course addresses common tissue runnability problems and issues and provides attendees the opportunity to meet peers and industry experts in the tissue and towel industry.

The course emphasizes the practical aspects of runnability in the manufacture of tissue and towel. Participants will review the tissue-making process from stock prep to reel, learn how to safely achieve and maintain high production levels, and reduce downtime and off-quality paper.
