Upcoming International Symposium Provides Insight Into High-Availability Concepts and Implementations; Service Availability Forum Brings Together Industry Leaders.

International Service Availability Symposium 2004

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14, 2004

The Service Availability(TM) Forum, a consortium of industry-leading communications and computing companies, today announced that it will host the International Service Availability Symposium in Munich, Germany on May 13-14, 2004. During the two-day symposium, industry experts will present Service Availability concepts and implementations to industry developers, academic institutions, IT implementers and industry analysts.

The Service Availability Forum™ (SAF or SA Forum) is a consortium of industry-leading communications and computing companies working together to foster an ecosystem
 and general chair of the symposium. "The symposium will look at the specific ways the industry is meeting this demand and cover future trends for achieving 99.999% availability."

Technical experts, high-availability users and implementers, operators, and the academic community will discuss high-availability requirements, interfaces and functionality. Miroslaw Malek, professor and chair of Computer Architecture and Communication at Humboldt University in Berlin, is the program chair for the event.
