 is an indicator of a singer's popularity, then Kari Gaffney's first two CDs, "Angel Eyes" and "Satin Doll," are mega-hits. Both releases have gotten plenty of radio air time.

"Angel Eyes" rose to No. 2 in New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 and Chicago and No. 9 in Ohio and Colorado. In addition, it was featured on National Public Radio's "The Jazz Spot" and has achieved top sales status with Borders Books & Music and Amazon.com.

Gaffney was named best new jazz vocalist of the year by California Radio and the Jazz Association.

Her second recording, "Satin Doll," a collection of standards, has just been released.

Gaffney has performed with such artists as Wyclif Gordon, Eddie Daniels Eddie Daniels (born 19 October 1941) is a prolific American musician. Though he is most well-known as a jazz clarinet player, he has also played alto and tenor saxophones , as well as classical music on the clarinet.

Daniels was born in New York City to a Jewish family.

Blinded at birth due to a hospital accident,[1] the talented and effervescent singer, nicknamed "Deedles," has earned the admiration of many of jazz's greatest musicians. , Frank Collett and Tommy Ruskin.

In Eugene, she will sing selections such as "Satin Doll," "Speak Low," "Four," "Let's Face the Music and Dance" and "Lover Man."

Gaffney will perform at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at Luna, 30 E. Broadway. A $10 cover will be charged.

Singer-songwriter Erik Muiderman will play a separate set at 6 p.m. There is no cover charge for Muiderman.
