(UP), http://www.uplanet.com, today introduced the UP.Kit, a complete package that system integrators, VARs, resellers, developers, ISVs and consultants can use immediately to build, test and promote mobile intranet and wireless Internet applications for the UP.Link platform.

Unwired Planet's UP.Link platform gives wireless devices, such as cellular phones, access to information and services on the Internet and on private intranets.

UP.Kit includes software, phones and support to construct a wireless solution using Unwired Planet's Handheld Device Markup Language (HDML). HTML-proficient developers can learn HDML in just a few hours, thus providing wireless access to mission critical data from cell phones or pagers. UP.Kit is offered at a special introductory price in tandem with UP's support programs, ranging from a comprehensive package of marketing and deployment assistance to technical support.
