University of Delaware Blue Hen CMAA (Club Managers Association of America, Student Chapter).The University of Delaware [3] The student body at the University of Delaware is largely an undergraduate population. Delaware students have a great deal of access to work and internship opportunities. Blue Hen CMAA CMAA Club Managers Association of America CMAA Construction Management Association of America CMAA Crane Manufacturers Association of America CMAA Country Music Association of Australia CMAA Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement (Club Managers Association of America, Student Chapter) hosted the 9th Annual Appreciation Dinner at the Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, DE on Oct. 9, 2001. The education program, reception, and dinner was organized by the Blue Hen Student Chapter, and attracted club managers from New Jersey, Delaware, greater Baltimore, Philadelphia, and other national chapters. The function was dedicated to those who were affected by the events of 9/11. The Blue Hen donated $400 in proceeds to the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross. Disaster Relief Fund through the Club Industry for America. The evening started with an education session, "Club Technology in the USA." Ron Comfort of CMAA presented a program entitled "The Do's and Don't's of Club Websites." Salim Yilmaz, UD graduate student in the Hospitality Information Management Program, presented the "Best Practices in Club Websites." Following this well-attended education program, club managers and guests proceeded to the reception area where Rain Wu, UD/SSH student, entertained guests by playing the Zheng, a traditional Chinese instrument. HRIM HRIM Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management HRIM Human Resources Information Management students served hors d'oeuvres and refreshments while guests had the opportunity to browse the silent auction items. With great support from the Wilmington Country Club, the Blue Hen Chapter prepared a wonderful culinary experience in the club's main ballroom, where the HRIM students served the entire function. Following dinner, Fred DeMicco, HRIM chair, and the Blue Hen Chapter awarded James B. Singerling, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. of CMAA, the "Champion Of Education" award for his continuous support of the club industry and of education. Philip Iannelli, CCM CCM Contemporary Christian Music CCM Critical Care Medicine CCM County College of Morris (New Jersey) CCM Chama Cha Mapinduzi (political party, Tanzania) CCM CORBA Component Model , general manager of the Wilmington Club, and his staff were also recognized for their support of the event. The CMAA Blue Hen Chapter organizes this annual event with the continuous support of Professor Ali Poorani, faculty advisor. This leadership exercise has received national awards and contributed to the professional development of the HRIM students by participating in regional club functions and the Annual National Conference. This year, the Blue Hen Chapter supported 13 students to attend the CMAA Conference in San Antonio San Antonio (săn ăntō`nēō, əntōn`), city (1990 pop. 935,933), seat of Bexar co., S central Tex., at the source of the San Antonio River; inc. 1837. , TX. |
