The cornett, cornetto or zink is an early wind instrument, dating from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods. It was used in what are now called alta capellas or wind ensembles.
 has been named vice chancellor for research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is part of the University of Arkansas System, a state-run university in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The main campus is located in Little Rock.  in Little Rock. Cornett previously served as director of the Arkansas Biosciences Institute. Cornett joined UAMS in 1980 as assistant professor in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics biophysics, application of various methods and principles of physical science to the study of biological problems. In physiological biophysics physical mechanisms have been used to explain such biological processes as the transmission of nerve impulses, the muscle  and is executive associate dean of the UAMS College of Medicine.
